Another option available for the Quilt and Embroidery cabinet is the stationary platform with the cutout in the cabinet top. This feature allows you to place the provided cover over the cutout and sit your machine on top of the cabinet for embroidering - or - you can sew in the flat bed position with your machine sitting down on the adjustable platform. We provide a plexiglass insert that fits around the free arm of your machine for this feature.
Price:
The price is based on the size of the cabinet and the features you choose. You can choose the number and depth of the drawers. You can exchange the pullout hoop storage for a thread wall, or you can have both.
The price of the quilting and embroidery cabinet starts at about $3,395.00 including shipping. Customizing the cabinet with number of drawers or added thread wall will not change the price much at all.
Create the cabinet that will work best for you.
Here is a good place to explain some characteristics and information about the Quilt Cabinets vs. the Sewing Cabinets.
Because of the flip out tops on the sewing cabinets - they are limited in size. They are limited to about 48 inches in width. This is because the flip out tops cover the entire top of the cabinet - and - when they are open, they are supported by the cabinet doors. Thus - when the cabinet is 48 inches wide - then each door is 24 inches wide and each top is about 24 inches wide. If the cabinet is wider - then the tops are wider and the doors are wider. The wider tops become too heavy to be supported by the door. I don't want to build something that will fail - so I limit the cabinets with doors to 48 inches. A side thought on that - the larger the doors - the more they are in the way. They have to be somewhere when they are open...
The Quilter cabinet really has no limitations. It is deeper front to back - it can be as wide as necessary. So if you have a large machine that needs a 36 inch knee space, that is not a problem. You can design your Quilter cabinet with drawers on one side or both. You can customize the drawer sizes. You can add drop leaf on one side or both - a drawer topper - and/or a hoop storage pullout.
There really are no limitations.
